Applying waterproof coverings

Under the COPRO.EXE mark, the installation of the sealing layer and the protective layer in cast asphalt is certified. A qualitative execution means an extension of the life span of the bridge.

The requirements for a good execution have been defined in PTV 8001.

Waterproof coverings are often used to make bridge decks waterproof. A protective layer of mastic asphalt is often placed on top of the waterproofing.

Waterproof coverings can be made in mastic asphalt, with resins or by means of membranes.

In the course of 2021, the certification regulations will be further finalised so that this execution certification can then be started.
