Under the COPRO.EXE mark, the installation of the sealing layer and the protective layer in cast asphalt is certified. A qualitative execution means an extension of the life span of the bridge.
Requirements
The requirements for a good execution have been defined in PTV 8001-1 and PTV 8001-2.
Applications
Waterproof coverings are often used to make bridge decks waterproof. A protective layer of mastic asphalt is often placed on top of the waterproofing.
Waterproof coverings can be made in mastic asphalt, with resins or by means of membranes.
Prospects
A total of 5 inspections were carried out in 2025. The number of sites where execution certification was requested was somewhat limited.
Execution certification will certainly be further expanded in the coming years. SB 250 v 5.0 still refers to this execution certification. Special specifications referring to SB 250 will therefore require execution certification for the application of waterproof coatings on bridge decks.
