Under the COPRO.EXE mark, the installation of the sealing layer and the protective layer in cast asphalt is certified. A qualitative execution means an extension of the life span of the bridge.
Requirements
The requirements for a good execution have been defined in PTV 8001-1 and PTV 8001-2.
Applications
Waterproof coverings are often used to make bridge decks waterproof. A protective layer of mastic asphalt is often placed on top of the waterproofing.
Waterproof coverings can be made in mastic asphalt, with resins or by means of membranes.
Prospects
In 2024, a total of 17 start-up inspections were carried out at the 3 applicants for the COPRO.EXE certificate for the laying of mastic asphalt. This has resulted in 3 certificate holders since the end of 2024.
In 2025, COPRO will carry out additional on-site inspections in order to conduct random inspections of the contractor’s in-house quality management system.
